It’s been a while since I’ve spoken to all of you. I’m doing so today to alert you to an upcoming show. David Kav will be at Aroma as part of his “Writing the Rails” tour - http://writingtherailstour.com. David is a singer/songwriter from Chicago. He will travel from Chicago to Memphis via train, and will stop along the way to play music and raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Aroma Cafe will be a stop on Dec 1 (8pm). I encourage you to attend and generously support David’s efforts. Fun show for a good cause!

Thanks to Nathaniel Seer (http://www.nathanielseer.com) for playing yesterday. It was a beautiful performance. Tomorrow (11/20), we have local musician, Kevin Elliott (http://www.kevinelliottmusic.com). I’ve added Indi Go as a venue on our list. It is a beautiful gallery in the spot that used to be The Furniture Lounge (9 E. University Ave). In addition to providing space for emerging artists, Indi Go is supporting the arts broadly by having musical performances, improv, etc.

Classical guitarist, Rachel Schiff (rachelschiff.com), will be appearing on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd (7 and 9pm shows). Each performance will run about 40 minutes. Donations are encouraged and appreciated. Local music hero, Ryan Groff (myspace.com/ryangroffmusic), will be a guest performer for both shows on July 2nd.
Wine will be available for purchase by the glass, and the show is sponsored by Boltini Lounge (boltinilounge.com).

One fan told me that he was especially looking forward to an upcoming show. He’d seen this duo play a while back, and really liked their sound. He doesn’t often buy CDs, and yet The Gypsy Nomads moved him to do so. I’m going to start spreading the word a bit to fans…please do the same. Also, there should be a more features towards the end of June that will hopefully get new venues involved.
